Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A woman who was shot in central Playa del Carmen Tuesday, was taken to hospital by ambulance after witnesses called for help.
The unidentified woman was shot by a subject traveling on foot in the city’s center Tuesday afternoon. According to preliminary information, the incident took place on avenida 10 with calle 3 Sur, where the woman allegedly exchanged words with a man before he shot her then walked away. It is unknown if the woman knew the man.
Witnesses requested an ambulance that arrived and transferred the female shooting victim to IMSS hospital. Police have not revealed any motive in the shooting, however, they are continuing to investigate.
