Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A woman who was attempting to park in front of a convenience store in Playa del Carmen ended up plowing through the front window after hitting the accelerator instead of the brake.
The accidental drive through occurred at 8:20 p.m. at a Circle K located along avenida Constituyentes in Playa del Carmen. To the astonishment of those inside, the white truck crashed through the store’s front window before coming to a stop in the designated parking area.
Elements of la Dirección de Tránsito de Solidaridad arrived to take a statement and determine responsibilities. A tow truck was called to remove the pickup truck. A second vehicle parked outside the store was also damaged in the mishap.
