Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Officers from the Secretariat of Public Security booked a young woman on battery charges Monday. The 23-year-old was jailed after authorities received a domestic violence report through emergency 911 services.
The woman, Liliana N, was removed from her home in the Marsella II residential subdivision after her mother reported her for family violence. When police arrived, her mother said she and her young grandson were physically assaulted by her daughter.
Both the mother and child were supported by the Police Corporation’s Specialized Group for Attention to Family and Gender Violence unit after the woman’s arrest.
