Cozumel, Q.R. — Canadian airline WestJet has started its direct Montreal to Cozumel route. Vacation airline Sunwing Vacations and its sister brand Vacances WestJet Québec started the service March 6.
WestJet is now offering the non-stop route from Montréal Trudeau International Airport to the Cozumel International Airport.

The new route will allow tourists and corporate travelers to have a direct connection to the island, considered one of the most important destinations in the Mexican Caribbean.
This new direct flight represents a strategic opportunity to bring the Canadian market even closer to the destinations of Quintana Roo, particularly Cozumel, one of the jewels of the Mexican Caribbean recognized worldwide for its natural wealth, tourist offerings and its prestige as one of the best diving destinations on the planet.
The State Secretary of Tourism Bernardo Cueto Riestra, highlighted that the strengthening of air connectivity is the result of the permanent work of promotion and coordination with airlines, tour operators and international commercial partners.
The new air connection helps to strengthen Cozumel’s position within the Canadian market, facilitating direct access to the island and reinforcing the presence of the Mexican Caribbean in one of the international markets with the greatest affinity for sun and beach destinations.
