Bacalar, Q.R. — A dump truck driver traveling through central Bacalar Tuesday found himself in need of help. While driving through town, a rear tire hit a roadway soft spot and sank.

The driver was transporting a small load of construction material when the tire fell through the sett paving, lifting a front tire completely off the road.
According to available information, the tire fell through a pothole that had previously developed during the rainy season.
When the heavy truck hit the pothole, the weight caused a tire to push through the existing pothole into a sinkhole beneath the road. More than half of the dept of the tire fell through.
Municipal police officers were called in to deal with the sunken dump truck.
