Viva Aerobus to add routes to Cancun and Cozumel

Cancun, Q.R. — Additional flights into the Cancun and Cozumel International Airports has been announced. Bernardo Cueto, Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, says the additional flights were made known during the recent Tourist Tianguis in Acapulco.

Airline Viva Aerobus will offer new routes from AIFA to Cancun as well as a new Cozumel to Monterrey flight. The airline also said that it will resume its Cancun to Toluca route. The extra flights are due to a significant increase in passengers on seven of their Cancun routes.

“The Mexican Caribbean has been characterized for being one of the main receiving destinations for tourists,” said Cueto during the tianguis. We are proud to know that now, our state is more connected not only with destinations abroad, but also with cities within the country,” he said.

On July 1, Viva Aerobus will start their Cozumel to Monterrey flight. The new AIFA to Cancun route will begin operations on July 15. This flight is in addition to their AICM to Cancun flight. The Cancun to Toluca flights will start July 28 with three flights per week.
