Cozumel, Q.R. — Viva Aerobus has reactivated its Monterrey-Cozumel summer route. The reactivated flights are designed to meet connectivity needs and boost tourism during the high summer travel season.
The Monterrey to Cozumel route will be offered twice a week until August.
On June 2, the airline made its first flight to the island with 180 passengers. On social media, the Government of Cozumel posted “Welcome! With more than 180 passengers, the Viva Aerobus flight from Monterrey arrived this Friday in Cozumel. Thank you very much for trusting in our destiny!”
This year, the airline has increased its flights into Quintana Roo with the addition of three new routes including Cancun – Los Cabos, Cancun – Quito and the reactivated Monterrey – Cozumel route.
Viva Aerobus currently offers 31 routes into Quintana Roo, 29 of which are to and from Cancun, one from Cozumel and one from Chetumal.
