Bacalar, Q.R. — The main suspect in the 2009 murder of a Veracruz woman and her boyfriend has been captured in the municipality of Bacalar. Police captured the 15-year fugitive Saturday in the town of Río Escondido.
Nazario “N” was arrested January 27 during an operation in coordination with elements of the Veracruz Ministerial Police and the Ministerial Police of Quintana Roo.
He is accused of the 2009 murders of his then-girlfriend and a man who were reportedly stabbed to death in the town of San Isidro.
Nazario “N” has been returned to the state of Veracruz to face charges.
