Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two vehicles were written off in an afternoon crash in north Playa del Carmen Tuesday. The crash happened between an armored truck and transport van on Playa del Carmen Boulevard near Petempich Avenue.
Early information says the driver of the van stopped suddenly, causing the cash truck behind to hit him. All the windows on the driver’s side of the van were lost due to the strong impact. Transit officers were on scene. An ambulance was requested for the employees inside the armored vehicle.
The van that was involved was only occupied by its driver, who was not injured. Authorities continue to sort out responsible parties.
