Bacalar, Q.R. — Two vehicles were left destroyed after a highway crash in the municipality of Bacalar. One of the involved vehicles is reported to have invaded the oncoming lane, crashing into the second vehicle.
The accident happened on a section of highway between the communities of Buenavista and Miguel Hidalgo. At least two people were reported injured in the early morning head on collision.
Those injured were transferred to the Bacalar General Hospital. Their injuries were not reported as life-threatening.
Two pets were found at the scene from inside the vehicles. Police worked to locate family members to take care of the pets. They are also continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the crash.
