Augakan reports that on Sunday, the impact of a vehicle hitting an electrical post prevented their pumps from working. They say that Aguakan brigades addressed the situation immediately and worked in coordination with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to replace the post and repair it accordingly.
By the end of Sunday, water distribution was reactivate to the city, however, during the morning of Monday, there was an electrical failure that damaged the operation of the machinery.
Due to a voltage variation that occurred on Monday in the catchment area that provides water service to Playa del Carmen, low pressure water delivery was experienced for a portion of the day while crews tended to the situation.
Augakan says crews worked 24/7 to restore water service and ensure proper functioning of its hydraulic infrastructure.
