Cancun, Q.R. — Virgin Atlantic says they are returning to Mexico with new flights to Cancun. For the Winter 2025 season, the airline will offer three weekly flights between London Heathrow and Cancun International.
Starting October 25, 2024, Virgin Atlantic will operate one of their new fuel efficient aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000 with 16 Upper Class, 56 Premium and 325 Economy Delight, Classic and Light seats as well as the airline’s Upper Class social space, The Booth.
The company says the new service will be the only direct route between London Heathrow and Cancun.
“Virgin Atlantic Holidays customers will be able to book premium sunshine, eco and adventure holidays in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and beyond,” they said in a Friday press release.
“The route will be the only direct service between London Heathrow to Cancun, with seamless onward connections with SkyTeam partner Aeromexico and codeshare partner LATAM to destinations including Mexico City, Santiago, Buenos Aries and Lima.
“Cancun and the surrounding area boast world-class white sandy beaches, breathtaking Mayan ruins, incredible wildlife and delicious local cuisine. Customers seeking adventure can discover eco-tourism and experiences in Riviera Maya and Tulum, plus an exciting range of new hotels.”
