Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A woman who was found unconscious on a Playa del Carmen beach has died. The unnamed woman died in hospital Wednesday afternoon after being admitted several days earlier.
She was found on a beach by local residents near Colosio in central Playa del Carmen and taken to hospital by ambulance. Four days after being admitted, she died allegedly from a drug overdose.
At the time she was found, she was without any identification, however, she is believed to be of American nationality. The State Attorney General’s Office has since begun an investigation into her death.
