Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A man of foreign nationality was killed Wednesday after an accident along the Carrillo Puerto-Tulum highway. The unidentified man was reported by residents from the nearby town of Muyil in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
Muyil motorists traveling that section of highway south of Tulum made the report of the body after it was seen laying on the shoulder. Police and paramedics from Tulum found the accident scene that included one deceased male several meters from a crumpled motorcycle.
The accident was reported just before noon Wednesday. The unidentified man was pronounced on scene. Police and personnel from Civil Protection of Felipe Carrillo Puerto have begun an investigation into the death of motorcyclist, which is being looked at as a possible hit and run.
