Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua — The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) of the Republic of Mexico has received an extradited man. The man, identified as Gustavo Iván “H”, was returned to Mexico from the U.S. on an outstanding arrest warrant.
According to the FGE, Gustavo Iván “H” was received through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense from the United States for whom an arrest warrant was executed for his probable responsibility of drug-related organized crime.
“This delivery was achieved thanks to coordinated work with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations Office (HSI), and the Office of Detention and Removal (ERO),” they said.
Gustavo Iván “H” was handed over by U.S. authorities at the Lerdo International Bridge in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua to elements of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM), assigned to the Criminal Investigation Agency –INTERPOL, who completed the arrest warrant.
He was transferred to the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation Number 1 Altiplano in Almoloya de Juárez.
