Costa Maya, Q.R. — Two women with outstanding arrest warrants for dispossession have been captured. The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office has reported the arrests of Guillermina “C” and Nazle “C” for the dispossession of state property.
According to their press release, “Prosecutors of the Public Ministry attached to the Mahahual Investigation Unit initiated the corresponding acts of investigation which indicated that the detainees probably participated in the clearing, subdivision and construction of structures in illegally occupied properties in the Costa Maya Punta Herrero-Xcalak Corridor, in the municipality of Othón P Blanco.”
The state agency went on to say that the two women are also believed to be “leaders of invading groups of estates.”
The arrest warrants were completed by elements of the Investigative Police, who captured them in the streets of the community of Xcalak, south of Mahahual. Both women were transferred to the FGE in Chetumal for processing.
