Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A fight outside the Las Hamacas bar in Playa del Carmen left two with knife injuries and one in jail. Police were made aware of the street flight around 1:30 a.m. on 30th Avenue.
Emergency services sent ambulances after reports of two men being stabbed.
Municipal Preventive Police and paramedics arrived at the scene where they treated one man for a hospital transfer. The second stabbing victim left the scene before medical personnel arrived. He is reported to have gone to hospital on his own.
During a search, police located a man suspected of being involved in the attack. Those involved have not been publicly identified. A motive for the argument and subsequent attacks are unknown.
