Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two people from inside a car that crashed into the back of a cargo truck remain in hospital. On Wednesday night, the driver of a private car hit the back of a company truck when it stopped at a red light.
The car, allegedly speeding with the intention of running the light, hit the back of the heavy duty vehicle totaling the front of his car. Emergency personnel were called to an intersection along Arco Vial Wednesday night due to the accident.
The driver and a front seat passenger were transferred to Playa del Carmen hospital after being removed from the crumpled vehicle. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Attending officers did not comment on possible charges.
