Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two elements of the Municipal Police were injured after their truck was hit by another vehicle. The accident happened Monday morning in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood when a second vehicle struck the city unit.
Early reports say the 10:00 a.m. accident left the two officers from inside the patrol unit with minor injuries after it was hit by a speeding truck along 110th Steet.
Other Municipal Police officers arrived at the accident scene to cordon off the area. Paramedics assessed the injured. The driver who was allegedly responsible for the crash was arrested and transferred to the Public Security department.
