Bacalar, Q.R. — Two people were injured after two vehicles overturned in the vicinity of Bacalar Monday morning.
The accident happened when, according to reports, the driver of a Nissan Estaquita truck lost control and hit the central ridge of the federal highway. His vehicle ended up overturned.
After seeing the vehicle in front lose control and momentarily enter his lane, the vehicle behind the truck attempted to maneuver out of the way. However, the white car ended up on its roof in a highway ditch.
The drivers in each of the vehicles were the sole occupants. They were stabilized on site before being transferred to hospital.
Police did not provide details on what caused the driver of the truck to lose control.
