Mexico City, Mexico — Two men wanted in U.S. courtrooms were extradited from Mexico Sunday. In compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the United States, the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) extradited Gonzalo “G” and Ricardo “C”, both wanted for sexual crimes.
Gonzalo “G” was wanted in Santa Barbara, California for the sexual abuse of three minors. The FGR reported that he was required by the Superior Court of the State of California in the County of Santa Barbara for sexual abuse against three minors.
The fugitive was located in August 2023 in Jocotepec, Jalisco, and detained for extradition purposes.
Ricardo “C” was wanted by a U.S. court also on sexual abuse charges. According to the FGR, Ricardo “C” sexually assaulted three minors and was wanted by the District Court of El Paso County, Texas.
He was located and detained by Mexican authorities for extradition purposes in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, in September of 2023.
Both men were handed over to U.S. agents at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) Sunday for their transfer.
