Two Mexican nationals extradited to face charges in American courts

Mexico City, Mexico — Two Mexican nationals wanted in the U.S. have been extradited from the country. Osvaldo “C” was wanted by the Federal Court for the Western District of Texas for smuggling undocumented foreigners.

According to a report by the State Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), he smuggled undocumented foreigners into the U.S. in exchange for money between 2015 and 2016. He was arrested in June 2023 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and held for extradition purposes.

Rafael “C” was wanted by the Federal Court for the District of South Carolina for the crimes of criminal association, drug crimes and operations with illicit proceeds.

Between 2018 and 2022, he was one of the leaders of a criminal organization based in Mexico responsible for directing, managing, and supervising drug trafficking and money laundering activities.

He also coordinated the logistics for transporting drugs to the organization’s distributors and clients in the United States and supervised the collection of profits that were transferred to Mexico. He was arrested in March 2024 in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora.

Two Mexican nationals extradited to face charges in U.S. courts

In compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the United States, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) extradited the two fugitives of Mexican nationality wanted by Federal Courts for their responsibility in various crimes.

They were delivered to the Toluca International Airport and Mexico City Airport, respectively, for transfers.
