José María Morelos, Q.R. — Two people riding on a motorcycle in the dark were killed after being run over by a vehicle. The accident was reported along the San Felipe-Candelaria highway in the municipality of José María Morelos, southwest of Tulum.
Two people from the town of San Felipe were found dead from the hit and run, which happened near the town of Nueva Reforma. The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Elias N and 28-year-old Wendy N.
Elements of the National Guard Highway Division began a search for the involved car, locating the Nissan March abandoned near the junction for Kancabchén, however, arrests were not made.
