Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two men alleged responsible for firing a weapon in Playa del Carmen Wednesday night are in custody. Police launched a search operation Wednesday night after receiving a report of gunshots near the El Caribeño bar on 45th Avenue.
As a result of search operation, two people allegedly linked to the incident were arrested. The area was cordoned off to allow for the necessary investigation related to the shooting of a weapon in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood.
Police say there are no reports of any injuries. Authorities have not provided a reason for the gunfire.
