Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two transport drivers were transferred to Playa del Carmen hospital Thursday after a multi-vehicle highway crash. The three-vehicle crash happened Thursday afternoon on the highway north of Playa del Carmen near Punta Maroma.
Two drivers between the three involved vehicles received injuries in the crash. The 3:00 p.m. accident created a long line of backed up traffic on the cusp of the the busy holiday season.
Traffic authorities did not provide details as to how the three vehicles crashed.
