Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two men have been formally charged in the death of a Playa del Carmen man that happened November 19. The Attorney General (FGE) reports the arrest of Lázaro S and Santos A for the beating death of the man in the Villas del Sol neighborhood.
In their report, the FGE said that according to their investigation, both Lázaro S and Santos A were participants in “committing the crime on the streets of the Villas del Sol subdivision, where they apparently beat the victim until causing serious injuries, which later led to his death.”
Both men have had their day in court, being formally charged with the murder. The name of the deceased was not provided. The FGE says that both men have been ordered to remain in preventative detention during their trial.
