Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Considerable material damage with at least injured was the balance of a traffic accident that occurred early Wednesday in Playa del Carmen. The collision between a taxi and private car happened along the extension of the Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard when the private car invaded the oncoming lane, causing a collision with a taxi.
The Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Union taxi ended up crashing into the Tsuru car. In an attempt to avoid the vehicle, the taxi then ended up crashed into the concrete wall of Real Ibiza.
The front of the taxi was completely destroyed. The private vehicle also ended up crashed into the concrete wall, suffering substantial damage. Paramedics arrived to attend to the injured driver of the car who was transferred to hospital.
Traffic agents were on scene to record the accident and ensure both cars were towed to the yard of the corralón.
