Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Argentinian nationals Juan Ignacio “N” and Damián Agustín “N” have been arrested for car theft. The pair and the missing vehicles were located in Playa del Carmen after a Cancun car rental agency reported the theft of four of their vehicles.
Cancun police said as a result of investigative and intelligence work, elements of the Investigative Police arrested Juan Ignacio “N” and Damián Agustín “N”, both of Argentine nationality, for their alleged involvement in acts possibly constituting the crime of vehicle theft against a car rental company in Cancun.
“After the company’s legal representative reported the theft of four motor vehicles, investigations by the company’s staff located two of the vehicles in the municipality of Playa del Carmen,” they said.
Investigative Police went to the address where they found two cars, property of the leasing company, in possession of Juan Ignacio “N” and Damián Agustín “N”. Both men were arrested and both vehicles were seized.
“The legal status of both foreigners will be determined within the constitutionally established timeframe,” police added.
