Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three males wanted for two Playa del Carmen murders were arrested over the weekend. The two adults and minor teen were taken into custody by Solidaridad police on outstanding warrants.
The warrants were served separately against three male persons, one of them a teenager, for their alleged involvement in events possibly constituting the crime of aggravated homicide against two victims, police reported in a statement.
Those now detained are Marlon Iván “N”, Silverio “N” and a minor male. The events for which they are accused occurred on the night of October 27 of this year, when they intercepted the victims, whom they put in a vehicle against their will.
Police say the two victims were abducted since the men had orders to kill them for selling drugs for the competition.
“After boarding the vehicle, they were taken to another location where they were shot dead, allegedly because they were selling drugs for an opposing group,” authorities said.
The teenager was arrested in Cozumel, while Marlon Iván “N” and Silverio “N” were captured on the streets of Playa del Carmen. The minor was transferred to Playa del Carmen where he was handed over to Investigative Police assigned to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Crimes Committed by Adolescents. He will be transferred to Cancun where he will be presented before a judge for Adolescents.
