Cancun, Q.R. — Turkish Airlines says they will increase their Istanbul-Mexico City-Cancun route starting November 1. The airline, who currently offers seven flights per week, said they are increasing the route to 11 flights starting next week.
The increase in flights is due to the increase in the tourist flow to the Mexican Caribbean. The Governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama, confirmed this announcement, which she considered to be part of the reaffirmation of Quintana Roo’s international tourism leadership.
“Quintana Roo continues to position its leadership in tourism. The airline Turkish Airlines announced that as of November 1, 2022, it will increase its Istanbul-CDMX-Cancun flight frequency to eleven per week. We will seek that the benefits reach every corner of the state,” Lezama posted on social media.
