Tulum, Q.R. — A woman riding a bicycle died from injuries sustained after being hit by a truck late Monday night. The accident was recorded around 1:00 a.m. along Oko’ot Street between Jupiter and Kukulcan, in the vicinity of the Ejidal neighborhood in Tulum.
Preliminary reports say the woman was riding along the roadway when she was struck by a cargo truck. The driver of the vehicle did not stop. Police arrived at the site after the report was called in to the C2 of Tulum. When they arrived, they found the female was without vital signs.
She was also discovered without any identification, leaving her as an unknown victim. Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived and took charge of the investigation and removal of the body for the corresponding procedures.
