Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three males picked up on drug charges are being investigated for three Playa del Carmen murders. In a statement, police said all three men were arrested in flagrante by elements of the Investigative Police of the State Attorney General’s Office in a parking lot during area surveillance.
They reported Ángel Yoel “N”, Carlos Enrique “N” and Saúl Isaac “N” were arrested on drug possession charges, however, they are being investigated for the murders of three men and injuries to a fourth in three separate incidences.
“The first investigations link the arrested persons in three ongoing investigations for qualified homicide and injuries. The first investigation to the detriment of a male. The second of two victims and the third for gunshot wounds to a man.”
Police say their investigation has revealed that the suspects are part of a criminal group dedicated to the distribution of narcotics in various neighborhoods of Playa del Carmen. All three remain in police custody.
