Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three men were shot inside a makeshift mechanic shop on Sunday. Neighbors reported the afternoon shooting to emergency services who arrived at the Villas del Sol home.
Inside the workshop, police located the three injured men. Neighbors said at least two people showed up on a motorcycle and opened fire before fleeing. Paramedics were called to transfer the men to hospital.
One man was shot in the back, while a second received a bullet wound to his abdomen and another, to his arm. Police collected 11 shell casings from the scene.
Police began an area search for those responsible. At least one person was reportedly taken into custody who is believed connected to the shooting.
