Tlapa, Guerrero — A lightning strike has killed three people including a minor, in addition to injuring three others in the state of Guerrero.
According to the Ministry of Guerrero Civil Protection, the incident happened in the mountainous region of the state around 6:00 p.m. when a group of men took shelter from a thunderstorm. While under the shelter, the building was hit by lightning, killing three and injuring three others.
Civil Protection of Guerrero says the deceased have been identified as 21-year-old José Luis N, Gerardo N, 27 and Juan N, 13 years old.
The three injured men were transferred to the General Hospital of Tlapa de Comonfort and have been identified as 52-year-old Juan N, Alfredo N, 47 and Elpidio N, 45 years.
