Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — Three covid testing modules were removed from central Playa del Carmen streets Saturday for operating without permits. Early Saturday morning, personnel from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat and Urban Development arrived with tow trucks to have the three modules removed.
The portable covid testing sites were located on Quinta and Juárez Avenues. Preliminary information says all three were installed during the previous administration of Laura Beristain Navarrete and found to be operating without the necessary permits for more than a year.
