Salinas de Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi — Arrests have been made against three San Luis Potosi (SLP) doctors in the death of a child. On Tuesday, the SLP Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrests of doctors Horacio “N” 53, Lidia “N” 33 and Selene “N” 30, due to probable negligence and omissions.
The doctors were arrested after pronouncing three year old Camila “N” dead on August 17 after her mother took her to hospital for medical attention. According to the State Attorney General of SLP, “said personnel issued her a death certificate due to an alleged hypovolemic shock.”
However, at her funeral, “the girl showed signs that she was alive, so they took her to a hospital again, however, nothing could be done and she died shortly after,” the Attorney General reported.
The three doctors have been transferred to the Social Reintegration Center of La Pila to begin their legal process.
