Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police of Solidaridad were able to detain three people after the report of a wounded man in the Ejidal neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
Six police units arrived at the scene where resident witnesses described those alleged responsible for the shooting of a man. Police were quick to locate the three who witnesses said fled in a white car. Police located the trio after they ditched their vehicle and attempted to hide in nearby undergrowth. Unconfirmed reports say gunfire was exchanged between them and police.
The injured man was rushed to hospital in serous condition. He was reportedly returning home from the bank when the shooting took place.
The detainment included that of two men and one woman along with firearms and one vehicle.
