Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An afternoon getaway attempt left at least four vehicles with damage. On Saturday evening, the driver of a public transport unit reportedly hit a white car due to speeding.
Witnesses who saw the combi hit the car on Luis Donaldo Colosio Avenue also saw the driver try to leave the scene. In doing so, the combi driver collided with an old model Beetle that slammed into the back of a blue car.
The combi hit against the Beetle caused the driver to ditch his own unit in highway vegetation. Transit officers were on scene in an attempt to sort out the four-vehicle mishap.
By the time they arrived, numerous people were involved in the accident, but not those from inside the combi. Witnesses confirmed to police that the driver and front seat passenger of the van fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries reported.
