Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man wanted for sexual abuse in Playa del Carmen has been returned to Mexico from Canada. Luis Carlos “N” was handed over to Interpol authorities at the Mexico City International Airport Wednesday from where he was transferred to Cancun then onward to Playa del Carmen.

The State Attorney General (FGE) of Quintana Roo says Luis Carlos “N” was being held in Canada for extradition after being arrested there. The agency did not say where in Canada he was arrested or when.

However, according to the FGE ((Fiscalía General Del Estado), he is being charged for “events that occurred between October and December of 2017 in the pool of an educational center located in Playa del Carmen where he allegedly committed the crime of sexual abuse to the detriment of a minor.”

Luis Carlos “N” has been admitted to the Solidaridad Municipal Retention Center where he awaits a hearing.
