Suspect wanted for Playa del Carmen murder captured on city streets

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A suspect wanted for an October murder in Playa del Carmen was captured on city streets.

The State Attorney General’s Office announced that elements of the Investigative Police completed an arrest warrant against a male for his probable participation in the crime of qualified homicide.

Raymundo “N” was arrested walking along Jacinto Pat Street and Petempich Avenue in the Misión Villamar 1 subdivision of Playa del Carmen.

He was wanted for events that occurred on October 15 of the current year in a home located in the Ejido neighborhood, where he allegedly fought with the victim, injuring him with a knife, which caused his death.

The victim has not been identified.

After carrying out the legal procedure, agents transferred the detainee to the FGE facilities from where he was admitted to the Municipal Detention Center.
