Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A suspect wanted for a double murder in Playa del Carmen in 2021 has been arrested and charged. On Sunday, the State Attorney General’s Office announced the detainment and charges against Jorge “P”.
According to the FGE of Quintana Roo, Jorge “P” is accused of allegedly ordering two accomplices to kill two men who sold drugs in “his area”. The murders took place on May 14, 2021, when the defendant provided a motorcycle and a firearm to two subjects.
The two men set out on the supplied motorcycle and intercepted the car in which the victims were traveling. One of the men aboard the bike shot them. Both men inside the car were killed. The driver of the motorcycle then fled the scene.
A trial for Jorge “P” is expected to begin in two months time.
