Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — A suspected wanted for rape on a Playa del Carmen boat has been captured. On Monday, the State Attorney General of Quintana Roo reported on the arrest of José Alberto “N”.
According to the FGE, the incident happened on July 9, 2023 on a private boat. “The defendant, taking advantage of his friendship with the victim, allegedly committed the crime on a maritime vessel,” they said.
Investigative agents of the FGE captured the defendant from the streets of Playa del Carmen. He has since been admitted into the Municipal Retention Center (prison).
The FGE did not provide further details surrounding the incident. José Alberto “N” was picked up on an outstanding arrest warrant.
