Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The main suspect in the beating death of a Playa del Carmen woman has been captured and charged. The office of the State Attorney General says Marcos “N” has been arrested “for his alleged participation in acts possibly constituting the crime of femicide.”
The man is accused of beating his former girlfriend to death inside her home in the Nicte-Há neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
According to police, “the events involving the detainee occurred on November 20 of this year in a house located on the streets of the Nicte-Há neighborhood where, after he saw his partner arrive accompanied by a male person, he entered the property and hit her in various parts of the body causing injuries that later took her life.”
Police say Marcos “N” was arrested by Investigative Police while walking on a street of the Misión Villamar neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. He has since been charged with femicide.
