Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Authorities say a man in in custody for femicide, aggravated homicide, and attempted homicide against three people.
López Salazar, the head of the State Attorney General’s Office, said Monday that Dan Neftalí “N” is under investigation for events that took place on September 27 of this year in the community of Caobas in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.

According to López Salazar, Dan Neftalí “N” allegedly arrived on a motorcycle, carrying a rifle, to intercept the victims, two men and a woman, who were traveling in a pickup truck.
“He allegedly closed an access gate, prompting the victims to step out of the truck. At that moment, he reportedly threatened the two men, ordering them to the rear of the vehicle where he allegedly shot them. One man died, while the other sustained injuries,” López Salazar reported.
“He also allegedly forced the woman into the truck to take her away, but during the journey, she threw herself out of the vehicle and died at the scene.
“Subsequently, Dan Neftalí allegedly fled on the motorcycle, discarding the weapon along the way.”
López Salazar said their investigation revealed that Dan Neftalí had previously been in a three year relationship with the woman. At the time of the incident, the female victim, who has not been named, had broken up with him.
