Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The State Attorney General says they have obtained a 108-year prison sentence for rape and sexual abuse. The man sentenced has been named as stepfather Natanael Gómez Asenso and/or Natanael Gómez Ascencio.

In their report, the State Attorney General said he was sentenced after being found guilty of sexually abusing and raping his three minor stepdaughters between June and August of 2024 in their own home.
The abuse took place at a home in the town of José María Pino Suárez when the girls’ mother left for work. During her absence, the girls were abused and raped by Natanael Gómez Asenso, police said.
Natanael Gómez Asenso “took advantage of the situation to grope and sexually assault them. He also threatened to beat them if they told anyone what had happened, however, the girls told their mother about the abuse,” police said.
According to police, their mother didn’t believe them, so they went to their grandmother who filed the corresponding complaint.
“For the crime of rape, Natanael Gómez Asenso and/or Natanael Gómez Ascencio was sentenced to 30 years in prison for each of the three victims for acts committed in May, between June and July, and in August of 2024.
“For the crime of sexual abuse, he received six years in prison for each minor, bringing the total sentence to 108 years,” authorities reported.
