Vicente Guerrero, Baja California — A 6.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded Tuesday in the state of Baja California. The tremor was recorded in the northwestern part of Mexico, with no casualties or significant material damage reported so far.
The National Seismological Service (SSN) of Mexico reported on its Twitter account that the movement was registered at 10:39 local time and its epicenter took place 37 kilometers west of the municipality of Vicente Guerrero, in Baja California.
The tremor was located at a depth of 10 kilometers, specified the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Meanwhile, in the state of Oaxaca, southern Mexico, another movement was registered at 10:38 local time, although of less intensity. The tremor, as reported by the SSN, was a 4.1 magnitude shake 12 kilometers south of Pinotepa Nacional.
