Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Only material damage was reported after a cargo truck overturned along the highway outside Paamul. The driver of the truck, who is alleged to have been speeding, lost control of his unit.
The driver reported one of his tires made contact with the center median while traveling at a high rate of speed. Once the tire made contact, he lost control and began swerving.
The truck landed on its side of the federal highway between Punta Venado and Paamul. Passing motorists made the call to emergency services. Authorities were quickly on scene of the 1:30 p.m. accident. No injuries were reported.
