Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A car approaching the police filter outside Playa del Carmen lost control and crashed into the central highway median. The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. when the driver of the car was allegedly speeding.
The driver quickly happened upon the row of speed bumps (topes) on the highway as he approached the filter. Due to his speed, he lost control of his car and crashed.
Traffic authorities arrived at the scene and ordered the removal of the vehicle. There were no injuries.
