Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Speed is being blamed on an accident that left a car on its roof Monday morning. Transit Police were sent to the Playa del Carmen overpass around 11:00 a.m. where they located the overturned vehicle.
Witnesses reported the mishap to authorities, detailing that the driver was speeding when he hit the overpass guardrail. His car flipped over and skidded several meters down the incline before finally coming to a stop near 8th Street.
The driver of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries and did not require a hospital transfer.
