Cancun, Q.R. — The director of tourism says Spain will continue to offer direct flights to Cancun. Despite covid increases, the country will continue to maintain flights by five airlines that currently fly direct to Cancun.
Dario Flota Ocampo, director of the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo, said the confirmation was made during the International Tourism Fair in Madrid last week. He said with those flights, the state anticipates around 180,000 tourists from Spain.
Visitors from Spain arrive on five airlines that include Level, Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Iberojet and World2Fly.
He said that during the fair, the Ministry of Tourism worked so that the tourist reactivation takes place in a responsible and safe manner, achieving a fairer and more sustainable tourism for the benefit of tourists and residents the state.
